LIGHTING at Sidmouth Library is to be improved in a new scheme costing almost £15,000.
The project involves an upgrade of the lighting fixtures along with the replacement of
ceiling tiles in the reference library.
The whole scheme is costing £14,500. Staff say it will help to improve the ambience of
the library for users and ensure new health and safety requirements are met.
The library will be temporarily closed for two weeks from Monday, March 10 until
Saturday, March 22 inclusive. The library will re-open again on Monday, March 24 at
9.30am.
Extra library books can be borrowed for this period, and items will be stamped due back
for when the library re-opens.
