From Ottery St Mary - travel northwards along North St, Butt's Hill and Alfington Road (B3177) (shown yellow on the map below) towards and through Alfington village. Turn right at the T junction and almost straightaway bear right onto the minor road. These two 'right turns' are within 100 metres of each other. Turn left at the next junction to Gittisham. The hall is in the village centre and on your right.

Some of the best free on-line mapping is provided by www.mapquest.co.uk. Using this website you can obtain maps or 'turn by turn' directions from any postcode to Gittisham (and back again!). From the mapquest home page, click on 'driving directions' then on 'add options' then select 'turn by turn maps with text'. Then simply enter two postcodes using EX14 3AF for Gittisham. An equally useful site (better in some ways because it provides details of currrent hold-ups) is provided free by Toyota. However, once you enter this site it is impossible to leave again using a browser 'back' button. You have been warned! At the level of individual streets, streetmap is one of the best websites.
