People's Network (PN) Computers in Libraries
I am attaching for your information a copy of an e-mail sent today to the Chief Executive of Devon County Council. In the interests of limiting adverse and unwarranted publicity you may wish to help confirm to me that the software error as described is uniquely a problem within the Devon area.
You will not be aware of the background to my ongoing dispute with Devon County Council. Copies of letters and articles that have appeared in the local Press can be sent to you by e-mail if you wish. They will be available via the Internet in due course. My arguments about the way these systems have been installed commenced with letters in The Independent (21 June) and in the Western Morning News (27 June).
My dispute with Devon County Council has escalated recently to include being banned from DCC libraries for 6 months and interviews on local radio. It will be extended soon to include articles in computer magazines and publicity via the Internet. Legal action seems inevitable and will centre around the way PN computer systems have been installed and are operated./p>
I would be interested to receive at this stage your observations on the points made both in the email sent today to DCC, and in my letter in The Independent. I can then incorporate these as appropriate.
