Maps and directions to Gittisham Village Hall EX14 3AF

Sat Nav users may use either EX14 3AF or these coordinates N50:46:43 and W3:13:41.

The following four maps show detailed directions if you are driving from Exeter, Honiton, Ottery St Mary or Sidford. The Iron Bridge is a well known local landmark where a main rail line passes over the road. In very wet weather the road may be flooded near to the bridge but the routes from Ottery St Mary and Exeter should both be OK because you do not need to drive along the lowest point of the road.

Watch your speed! Local roads are narrow and have poorly maintained edges.

route honiton.jpg (212636 bytes)

route ottery.jpg (172870 bytes)

route sidford.jpg (155406 bytes) From Sidmouth/Sidford take the main A375 towards Honiton.

You will drive past the Hare and Hounds pub on the left at a crossroads called Putts Corner.

Keep going along the A375 until you see brown tourist signs for The Pig (previously the Coombe House Hotel). Turn left to follow these signs but beware - do not use this route in snow or ice.

This route does not suffer from flooding so is OK to use from Honiton if the Honiton route (see map above) may be compromised. Beech Walk is narrow but usually quite OK to drive along.
